 Obviously you have applied the patchfile incorrectly. The correct way to
 apply the patchfile would be:

 {{{
 sudo patch -p0 < ~/Downloads/atlas-lapack-Portfile_and_patch.diff
 }}}

 Before you can do this, you'll have to get back to the original version of
 the Portfile, for example by using "`sudo port sync`" again.

 Also note "port install -v" is not correct; you wanted "port -v install"
 instead.
