      There is a checksum issue with the db46 install files when the come
 from oracle directly.  What I had to do was manually download the tar
 files for the db46 install from a mirror site and then replace the items
 that were downloaded through the oracle site.  That's a work around for
 until they get the checksums fixed.  Here is where the new tar files need
 to go if you're running Snow Leopard.

 /opt/local/var/macports/distfiles/db4/4.6.21_6/

 Here is the Mirror I think I used.
 http://sea.us.distfiles.macports.org/macports/mpdistfiles/db4/4.6.21_6/

 Be sure to download all the patches as well.  If you still have a problem
 you can try and installed an older port before the most recent changes
 were make by following the guide from macports.
