New description:

 When I run my macro in the port named root I get this error:

 /opt/local/lib/libpng.dylib

 What version of libpng you ask?
 > sudo port info libpng
 libpng @1.4.5 (graphics)

Comment:

 So root needs a revision bump to rebuild with libpng 1.4.
