Comment:

 In r76896 I updated minc to 1.5.1 and applied a patch similar to the one
 they're already using in version 2.1.00 for dealing with the absence of
 MAX_NC_OPEN.

 I'll file a new ticket for the remaining request to update this port to
 2.0.x.
