 Something looks very wrong with your setup. Although it isn't the error
 the build is failing on, the complaints about ev.h:495 and ev.h:449 are
 strange, given that, on my system, those two lines which "declare"
 ev_default_loop_ptr are actually inside two different functions and
 shouldn't conflict.

 The build is actually failing because "xcb_get_xm_protocols_reply_t" is
 not defined (the rest of the errors look to stem from that). That's
 defined in /opt/local/xcb/xcb_icccm.h:853 on my system -- is that
 declaration missing on your system or did that file manage to not get
 included?

 Also, did you build cairo with +x11_xcb?
