 The stuff about ev_default_loop_ptr is a red herring, ignore that. Make
 sure you did build cairo with +x11_xcb.

 The recent update of xorg-xcb-util from 0.3.6 to 0.3.8 did break this
 build (though the failure is in a different place than the log above).
 I'll look into it.
