 The same problem has now been [http://lists.macosforge.org/pipermail
 /macports-users/2011-November/026202.html reported on the mailing list]
 running on Lion. Was this problem ever reported to the developers of
 gkrellm?

 FWIW it works fine for me on Snow Leopard x86_64.
