New description:

 I am getting a fetch error when trying to install atlas in Lion. Upon
 visiting the distribution files repository
 (http://distfiles.macports.org/atlas/) I noticed that the various patch
 files that the macports installation requires are not available. Thus, I
 was unable to download these *.diff files allow the installation to
 proceed with local files. An example of the error is below:

 Is this still a problem for you? I cannot reproduce this.
