 This suggests that the directory /sw exists, or at least existed at the
 time you compiled MacPorts. /sw is Fink's directory, and it's unsupported
 to try to use MacPorts together with Fink or another package manager,
 precisely because of these unpredictable cross-contaminations.

 Please ensure /sw is gone, then reinstall MacPorts base. You can either
 download and install the latest MacPorts for Lion disk image, or force a
 selfupdate; neither should pose a problem for your already-installed
 ports.
