 So basically you had to install the command line tools, select Xcode, and
 agree to the license agreement. Nothing we haven't documented in our
 [http://guide.macports.org/#installing.xcode Guide] and
 [wiki:ProblemHotlist#xcode43 Wiki].

 Using `sudo` has always required the account's password to be non-blank;
 Apple has documented this in their knowledge base
 [http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4103 here].
