 From the last posts I understand that the ports have been updated "hs-
 cabal" and "ghc".

 I'm using Haskell, MacPorts and iMac now on Lion Mountain. Using Xcode
 4.4.1 I've updated.

 Today I tried to install the ports mentioned above and I could not,
 because they depend on perl5.8 and the process fails when trying to
 install perl5.8.

 Is there any possible solution to this costly problem?

 I attached my "main.log" and the dialogue of the console.
