Comment:

 The new log says "/usr/bin/tar: invalid option -- q". "-q" ''is'' a valid
 option for the BSD tar program that comes with OS X. This suggests that
 you have replaced your /usr/bin/tar program with a different version of
 tar, perhaps GNU tar. Please put back the /usr/bin/tar that Apple provided
 (by restoring it from your backups, or by reinstalling the operating
 system). Then you'll be able to install ports again.

 If there is something you really need GNU tar for, then you should install
 the "gnutar" port.
