I tried to install macport from dmg, after that when I tried to install
apache2 and I got an error. I found out that I didn't install command line
tools for Xcode. So I installed command line tools for Xcode and try to
run to install apache2 by running "sudo port install apache2". The
terminal hang and didn't happen anything. I need to reboot my computer
after that and then I tried to run "sudo port -df self update", the system
hanged and didn't do anything. Then I tried to install macports again from
the source code, the installation will hang at /usr/bin/tclsh
 src/images_to_archives.tcl "/opt/local/share/macports/Tcl. I tried to
applied patch from #29592 and still no luck. I attached the screen shot
 from installation.

Comment:

images_to_archives.tcl is a script that converts a MacPorts 1 installation
to a MacPorts 2 installation. It can take hours to finish, depending on
the speed of your computer and hard disk and the number of ports you have
 installed.

Were you in fact now upgrading to MacPorts 2 for the first time, or had
you already upgraded? If the former, you should let images_to_archives.tcl
run to completion. If the latter, I don't know why it's hanging.
