Old description:

New description:

 Installing Xcode 4.3 requires the user to execute:

 {{{
 xcode-select -switch /Applications/Xcode.app/Resources/Developer/
 }}}

 from the command line in order for xcodebuild to execute correctly. If
 this is not done, xcodebuild hangs. The installer requires xcodebuild;
 therefore, this condition will hang the installer. The installer should
 have a timeout on xcodebuild and give the user an appropriate error
 message.

 I'm wondering what part of the installer requires xcodebuild.... Is it
 just that the installer uses "sudo port selfupdate", and every port
 command always calls xcodebuild now?
