 It seems that that the port documentation (man port) is only loosely
 connected to reality. Both described methods to rebuild ppl, 'port upgrade
 --force ppl' and 'port -n upgrade ppl' rebuild (or install?) a zillion of
 packages. Maybe one of these days it will happen that ppl itself gets
 rebuilt…
