 I don’t know what to say about that. I tried reproducing by reshuffling my
 $PATH before using `port select`, and it symlinks correctly.

 Yes, that’s expected. What I mean is that the `wine` port does not alter
 the files installed by the `python27` port.

 Well then maybe you should post to the mailing list, as I’ve already
 suggested.
