#38015: OpenSSL 1.0.1d Broken
-------------------------+--------------------------------
Reporter: dylanryan@… | Owner: macports-tickets@…
Type: defect | Status: new
Priority: Normal | Milestone:
Component: ports | Version: 2.1.3
Keywords: | Port: OpenSSL
-------------------------+--------------------------------
As of the most recent openssl update installed via sudo port upgrade
outdated, it seems that using curl or wget (and presumably anything else
using openssl) to fetch a https page fails.
For example:
{{{
$ curl https://google.com
curl: (35) error:1006706B:elliptic curve
routines:ec_GFp_simple_oct2point:point is not on curve
$wget https://google.com
--2013-02-10 17:05:19-- https://google.com/
Resolving google.com (google.com)... 74.125.224.36, 74.125.224.39,
74.125.224.41, ...
Connecting to google.com (google.com)|74.125.224.36|:443... connected.
ERROR: The certificate of ‘google.com’ is not trusted.
ERROR: The certificate of ‘google.com’ hasn't got a known issuer.
}}}
Similar problems on similar pages (dropbox, etc. I can't find any https
page that actually _works_)
Specs and such:
Macports: v 2.1.3
Ports:
{{{
openssl @1.0.1d_0 (active)
curl @7.29.0_0+ssl (active)
curl-ca-bundle @7.29.0_0 (active)
wget @1.14_2+ssl (active)
}}}
System: 10.8.2, on a early 2011 MBP i7
