 Updated the portfile with gcc43 and 44 removed and gcc48 and 49 added. I
 also changed the default to be gcc47 (rather than gcc45).

 I also added a comment that for the examples variant, it seems that the
 examples are compiled but then not installed. Someone interested could
 check on this -- I don't have time at the moment.
