 First someone would have to write a port for
 [https://launchpad.net/libmetalink/ libmetalink], as MacPorts currently
 doesn't have it yet:

 There's both a Homebrew
 [https://github.com/mxcl/homebrew/blob/master/Library/Formula/libmetalink.rb
 formula] and a Fink
 [http://fink.cvs.sourceforge.net/fink/dists/10.4/stable/main/finkinfo/net/libmetalink3.info?view=markup
 package] to work from, so it shouldn't be too had to write a portfile for
 it... (I've been meaning to do this myself for a while now...)
