 Even though is available [http://daniel.haxx.se/blog/2012/06/03/curling-
 the-metalink/ since version 7.27.0], the currently distributed curl port
 has no support for [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metalink Metalinks]:

 $ sudo port install curl +ssl +ares +sftp_scp

 --->  Cleaning curl
 --->  Scanning binaries for linking errors: 100.0%

 $ curl --metalink

 Any chance to have this added by default? Or maybe via a variant?
