 I agree that it would be better to fix this issue before committing.

 My suspicion is that you're building a universal binary with powerpc
 support. System lapack only has i386/x86_64 support. If this is the case,
 given that there are some more problems with ppc, I'd suggest to re-
 introduce the architecture restrictions that were removed in r110279.
