 This ticket is about /usr/bin/gnutar not existing on Mavericks and
 extracts therefore failing.

 Richard, your issue is entirely different and belongs in a different
 ticket:

 My understanding is that Mavericks includes Tcl 8.6, with which MacPorts
 is not yet compatible, because Tcl 8.6 introduces a try/catch
 implementation, whereas MacPorts already includes a private try/catch
 implementation that works differently.
