 I am glad I wrote that explanation, as I did not remember the reasons for
 the removal. But what I wrote makes sense, the port conflicted with the
 perl core installation.

 The problem is the conflict on the `/opt/local/bin/xsubpp-5.*` tool. If
 you want to split it out into its own module, you have to remove this file
 from the `perl5.*` port and only a potential `p5.*-extutils-parsexs` port
 may provide it. That means we need updated dependencies for all ports that
 use this module.

 Also, this would be different from what a normal Perl distribution looks
 like; other software might expect this to be part of the Perl core
 modules. I am not sure if that is something we want to do.

 Providing different versions of `p5.*-extutils-xspp` for each version of
 `perl5.*` sounds like an easier way to go forward on this issue.
