 Oops! Sorry, yes I did. I got things working now, although I don't
 understand why both mpich-default+gcc47 AND mpich-gcc47+fortran were
 installed.

 Not sure if it was an oversight or by purpose, but you left out
 installation of the LICENSE and README files, and also the 'doc' variant.
 I will add a patch for these. Finally, this patch also includes the new
 download link mentioned above.
