 I'm not using Mavericks (yet). My System version is 10.8.5.

 Are you suggesting, that a

 port install libcxx
 }}}
 and then rebuilding boost and graph tool could fix the issue?

 I'm a little hesitant, because last time I rebuilt graph-tool, it took
 about 30 hours on my MacBookPro. (Is that normal?)
