 I was able to reproduce the problem. +gcc49 sets configure.cc. hdfeos5
 should be compiled either with h5cc or h5pcc. I removed compiler variants
 that sets configure.cc in r126056. Let me know if this fix enables
 successful builds of hdfeos5 and ncarg.
