 I can confirm that this also occurs running on Mac OS X 10.10 (Yosemite)
 using Xcode 6.1 and its associated command-line tools. After upgrading to
 Yosemite, I did a fresh MacPorts install, and installing octave was the
 first major port I selected. After installing octave (octave
 @3.8.2_1+atlas+gcc48+gui), the libc++abi.dylib crash still occurs when I
 exit octave.
