 error message wrong?

 I've this too and assumed a lack of error messages. Actually df tells me:

 {{{
 Filesystem Size Used Avail Capacity Mounted on
 /dev/disk0s5    63Gi   55Gi  7.2Gi    89%    /
 }}}

 certain situations. Can you identify what those situations are?

 This is the first I saw it and at once assumed, since I could reproduce it
 many times with findutils 4.6.0_0, that port has a bug. But contemplating
 now on "No space left on device" and log file truncation it might be true
 that the conftest filled up root and when port tried to write a new block
 to the log it got truncated.

 Anyway, I don't think that GNU Emacs can have any influence. It never had,
 and I can guaranty it will never have. Besides, I have a case-sensitive
 HFSX… And now I'm going to perform in Terminal and watch df's output for
 some time!
