 I upgraded VLC to version 2.2.2 (#49051, r146098). Given René's earlier
 comments I didn't check compatibility with ffmpeg 3.0 (assuming it isn't
 functional just yet).

 (The VLC-devel port might be at an even older version than VLC then, but
 it has a different set of dependencies etc. The devel port should probably
 switch to version 3 by now if there was anyone interested in working on
 it.)
