Comment:

 Given the history I would suggest removing the port index and then running
 self update again to completely regenerate the index.

 $ sudo port selfupdate

 At any rate, this is configuration/installation problem on a single system
 not a MacPorts defect.  If these suggestions don't work, ask for further
 advice on the user's list.
