 deserves some protesting. I don't think that dropping support for older
 OSes in a '''minor patch release''' is justified. They should have created
 a 5.36 branch at least before cutting out some of the users.

 This is not to say that we shouldn't upgrade in MacPorts, but I don't like
 this action of the upstream in general.
