 I fooled around with this for quite a while, but I can not find a way to
 fix it.[[BR]]
 All the way back to 5.3, Qt uses
 [https://developer.apple.com/reference/corefoundation/1542555-cfrunlooptimercreatewithhandler?language=objc
 CFRunLoopTimerCreateWithHandler], which was not introduced until 10.7.
