 Just prepare a PR and check whether there will be some feedback there, in
 particular from Marcus.

 Can you perhaps just delete `macports-clang-4.0` from the whitelist
 instead of creating your own list? I believe that gcc 4.6 should be
 removed from the list, 4.7 is also slightly on the border case, but that's
 a different issue.

 Universal variant is problematic in either case (also on x86_64) if gcc is
 being used.
