 I don't know if what you want to do is to provide the '''structure''' that
 explains what exactly is in MacPorts. Or the script that can switch
 between installations.

 You don't need the `texdist` script nor `texdist_change_default.sh` for
 the first goal.

 Why exactly would you use `texdist` in MacPorts for? Just curious.
