 An update on this: I was updating ports and the new libgcc failed again,
 clearly the update removed the --disable-libsanitizer hack.
 So the "issue" is still open.

 I readded it and am trying again, will take some time!

 I start to share the idea of Ken that wether we fix the build with
 libsanitizer or disable it on SL (how do Tiger and Leopard perform?).
