 Looks like a missing dependency; in `main.log`:

 :info:configure checking for python module gdbm... no
 :info:configure configure: error: Could not find Python module gdbm
 }}}
 `config.log` contains many warning and error messages which I suspect are
 normal output for some of the tests, and this one which looks different:

 configure:22949: error: Could not find Python module gdbm
 }}}
