 Haskell is not my area of expertise. I've now read that very long PR. If
 you can't fix the problem, then you can't fix the problem. I merely meant
 to point out that ignoring MacPorts best practices, as stack does by
 downloading its own files, has real consequences for users, such as those
 reported in this ticket.
