 okay, I *think* I have found the issue: it seems related to doing parallel
 builds. Likely related to the fact that this was
 [https://github.com/macports/macports-
 ports/commit/8355687eb677dfc77ec34bfb7fdba91337d34b1d#diff-
 6acfaeba4d084735deda0018303cd887 recently enabled by default in the python
 PG].

 For me adding {{{use_parallel_build  no}}} to the Portfile and installing
 from source solved the problem. Can someone please check if that solves
 the issue in your case as well? If someone can confirm this I will commit
 a revised Portfile. Thanks!
