 You may be in luck -- a few years ago I tried to get guile 2.2 building on
 PowerPC and failed, so PowerPC has been held to guile 2.0 (it's already in
 the Portfile for PowerPC). It would therefore be pretty easy to make that
 available.

 So we'll see what the maintainer says, but if the only solution turns out
 to be using guile-2.0, that is likely not too hard to enable.
