 If that's what it was supposed to do, then it's failing.  I've had a full
 version of MacTeX (which includes all these style files) installed on my
 computer continuously for years (updating each year with a new release)
 and had to clean-up texmf-local again recently (sometime within the past
 month or so) after dblatex polluted it again.
