 Why don't you use python 3.8 or python 3.7?
 For GTK3 you can also use native {{{quartz}}} variant. To use it globally
 (suggested) put {{{-x11 +no_x11 +quartz}}} on
 /opt/local/etc/macports/variants.conf

 ratelim and geocoder are available in macports.

 I am generally use macloggerDX but pyqso seems interesting.
