 FYI using +quartz on 10.7 can put some demands on the system SDK that
 bring out build failures.

 For +quartz builds, people who write the software often assume newer macOS
 SDK features as well.

 So if you try that and run into trouble, you'll know why. Just go back to
 x11 if you need to.
