 As a side-question, is there a centralized solution to prohibit python
 arch checking? I spent half a day with manually adding
 depends_skip_archcheck-append python27 / python39 to dozens portfiles, and
 it still pops up, often hard to figure out why. This is mad.

 In particular, I wanted to generate error logs for universal builds of
 fontconfig and freetype, but running sudo port -v upgrade --enforce-
 variants fontconfig +universal causes Macports to try downloading
 universal python27, which is known to fail. I have added
 depends_skip_archcheck-append to portfiles, but it doesn't help.
