 I've now tested 10.14 and 10.15 as well, with the same result - the
 problem can be fixed by rebuilding, but only if `gobject-introspection` is
 rebuilt before `atk` and `gdk-pixbuf2`.  And (for unrelated reasons) I
 needed to do a full reinstall of MacPorts in my 10.13 VM, which still had
 the bug until I rebuilt these three ports from source.  That indicates
 that the latest binary archives are still broken.  Either:

 1) `gobject-introspection` was fixed without a revbump.

 or

 2) One of its build dependencies was modified (with the effect of fixing
 the bug) without its getting revbumped.
