 I had a similar problem with a gtk3 application that did not display
 images correctly under 10.10.5, 10.13.6 and 10.14.6. The error is:

 ***   Could not locate symbol gdk_pixbuf_loader_new at
 /opt/local/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.28/AMC/Gui/Zooms.pm line 268.
 }}}

 After forcing a reinstall with @sudo port -sn upgrade --force gobject-
 introspection atk gdk-pixbuf2@ everything is back in order.
