 I've created a push request to add variants for more modern versions of
 mariadb / mysql8 here: https://github.com/macports/macports-
 ports/pull/9745

 I've tested these on my computer to compile and function successfully.

 Unfortunately, the pipeline seems to be failing on qt5-doc - an unrelated
 subport to the modifications I made to the portfile.
