After looking through former tickets the same problem was reported in
#64171 (9 months ago and closed) The configure errors start with precisely
the same info as reported in #64171
{{{

conftest.c 1>&5
configure:2412:10: fatal error: 'features.h' file not found
#include <features.h>
^~~~~~~~~~~~
1 error generated.
configure: failed program was:
#line 2411 "configure"
#include "confdefs.h"
#include <features.h>
int main() {
#if ! (defined __GLIBC__ || defined __GNU_LIBRARY__)
#error Not a GNU libc system :-(

}}}
