 Well, if nothing else, this illustrates why most of us shouldn't directly
 commit upgrades of core build tools. Instead, it should be done via a PR,
 and left open for ample time for review.

 Regardless, we need to fix this ASAP, or simply revert to 9.4.1. Thoughts
 on next steps...?
