 Maybe two problems: there was no previous version installed with `port`
 and `libxkbcommon-1.4.1/test/x11comp.c` and
 `libxkbcommon-1.5.0/test/x11comp.c` look quite similar:

 I'll see if I can find an earlier version. OTOH, is it necessary to
 compile the `test files`? If some X client will fail in the future we
 would have a suspicion at once…
