 If you mean that there is no icon for glabels in the
 /Applications/MacPorts folder or in Launchpad, that's normal for X
 programs. You launch them from a terminal. X programs are not macOS
 applications and do not respond as macOS applications do so they don't
 belong in the Applications folder. X programs do not provide an indication
 that they are running, beyond the window(s) that they open.

 It is also normal for X to take a moment to start. You can launch
 /Applications/MacPorts/X11.app manually at any time before launching an X
 program if you want to endure that delay at a different time. You could
 even put X11.app in your login items to have it launch when you log in, if
 you use X programs frequently.

 We intentionally do not add a dependency on xorg-server because you might
 want to use a different X server. For example, although we think you'll
 prefer xorg-server, you may already have installed the standalone XQuartz
 distribution and want to use that instead. Or you may want to use an X
 server located on a different computer.
